Fishing? respect the water
My first blog of the new year. The recent tradegies of two NFL players and their friend off the Florida coast in a boating accident got me to write this.
I love to fish, I go deep-sea fishing almost every summer, I've gone as far out as 15 miles in 25-foot boats, however, never will I go out if the water is rough. You have to respect the water always, that should always be a rule when going fishing.
Rather short this blog, but wanted to remind everyone to be safe out in the water.
This has been another edition of Cane's Corner

I've gone out in glass like water and somewhat rough water and things were okay. Of course they were on party boats and the skipper was good.

I hear ya, the big boats can handle the "bouncy" seas. The smaller boats can too, but when caught out in a storm, which was the case w/ the football players, it's not a good picture. Of course, the smooth water makes for better fishing on any boat in my book.
Thanks for the comment.Posted 03-28-2009 at 10:18 PM by Canes2006Champs -
The biggest problem was people using the boats for "beer parties".
