Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

This Year's Republican National Convention Could Be One For The Ages

As if things were not already bad enough these last three and a half years, we almost had one of the biggest tragedies and catastrophes of this century. Praise God that that didn't happen.

President Donald J. Trump was starting up his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, this past Saturday. Things seemed to go fine on the surface, but no so much behind the scenes. From a nearby rooftop, a young galoot somehow had access and fired several shots into the air. President Trump turned his head in just the right way at just the right time when a bullet came his way. Ended up taking off a piece of his right ear. It was a moment where we first thought the worst, but Trump just got back up and gave a valiant fist pump. That snapshot has now become one of the most, if not the most, iconic moments in recent American history. Praise God that Trump is alive and still kicking. I had just finished supper on Saturday after working late, and I had just turned out the computer. Simply put, I was astonished and horrified by the headlines I saw on YouTube. What was supposed to be a rally for a presidential soon-to-be-nominee ended up being a target borne of left-wing hate and vitriol the likes of none so many have ever seen. Democrats sure have hit a new low and they just keep getting even lower with their brand of morality. Meanwhile, Patriots all over America are getting stronger. We're even gaining new allies with each passing week, the one having just past not even close to an exception.

This week, the Republican National Convention is taking place in Milwaukee. It begins as I write this post, and currently, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott is speaking to the American people. A huge bevy of speakers are going to grace the stage in the next four days. Imagine if things had taken another turn on Saturday, what this convention would have been. Thankfully, we are not going to have a long funeral, but rather, a convention for the ages. The study in contrasts could not be more stark than right now. You see what the left and right represent. You already know.

We have watched a miracle this past Saturday. Just think what we're going to see this coming Thursday, what with President Trump expected to rise up and talk to us once again. Talk about a warrior. Trump certainly embodies the American spirit like a lion. Watch this lion roar!

God bless America.

My, my. Look who actually came out tonight. President Donald J. Trump is headed into the arena in Milwaukee right now. Didn't think he'd be out this early, but here he is! New VP nominee J.D. Vance is by his side.
