International flight single letter error / US Immigration and Global Entry

I am traveling internationally in 2 days and noticed that a single letter error in my last name. The airline says they would be able to change it only if I booked it directly, however, since I booked with Expedia they have to contact the airline. The bottom line Expedia (all 3rd party sites) are the worst for booking if you ever run into problem. I was told that they put a note on a ticket but can’t change it unless I cancel (non-refundable ticket) and re-book
Q: Will I encounter a problem going through immigration in the USA? Since my ticket and name won’t be matched automatically
Q: Expedia said that with this note I can go through immigration using my Global Entry, is it true? I called Customs and Border Patrol office and spoke to 2 agents both said no way.
Did anyone have a similar experience going through immigration and using Global Entry with mistake on the ticket?
