Yes 57 14.43%
No 338 85.57%
Voters: 395.

So, here we are. I could bet that some of the 85% who know this guy is not a "man of loyalty, integrity and honesty" voted for him. Not just that, I also believe they knew it before they cast a vote for him. They knew about his fake university, about his use of courts to intimidate and extort, about his narcissism, his vulgarity and shameless self-promotion through the decades. They also didn't have much love for his treatment of women in general and in particular.

So then, how come he won?
Well, Democrats had a lousy candidate but no guts to tell her, you know, you should step down and let someone else, at least a bit more likeable and with less unpleasant baggage, represent us.

Then, Democrats had been sweeping some serious issues under the rug (illegal immigration, loss of manufacturing jobs, export-import imbalance). Everything that plagued the middle class, especially the ever growing lower-middle class. Plus the small entrepreneurs who had been eaten either by the big dogs in the country or cheap China imports. Plus people living in the south who witnessed the rapidly changing population and didn't like it.

At the same time, every attempt to talk about it was squashed by the Lib PC cult as racism. Same as any attempt to critically assess BLM and all those identity grievance industry products circulating around. Mind you, some of the grievances have a proper leg to stand on, but if you cry wolf all the time, at some point everyone stops believing you and start dismissing everything you say.

Also, all this wouldn't be such a problem if Lib PC Cult weren't so ubiquitous in the media. If other voices had similar platform the whole thing wouldn't feel so "in your face" for everyone who didn't agree with late night show costs &co.

Trump noticed all this. He had had presidency on his bucket list for decades. Just ask Youtube if you don't believe. After all, it isn't about money only. It's always been about the power first. He found a way to appeal to the segment much larger than his oponents thought it was. He found a voice (non PC to the hilt). Actually he didn't have to "find" anything. It came easy and naturally to him. And for a segment of his voters, this was enough not only to vote for him, but to adore him and religiously wait for hours and hours to see and hear him give the same speech over and over. But it was only a part of his voters. The other part largely consisted of people who were simply sick and tired.

Therefore, his success had less to do with him and more with how fed up the people were with the status quo.

Now I suggest you open another thread titled

Do you believe Hilary Clinton is a person of loyalty, integrity and honesty?

It would be interesting to see the result and compare it to this one.
