Ideally we would like to find a nice neighborhood with decent schools, rent a house and within a year or two buy our own house in the same area. Our budget for buying a house is ~$250K. I will appreciate any advises which neighborhoods/suburbs to consider. Thank you!

Hello,
I am also relocating to Tampa to work at the VA hospital. Were you able to relocate? Did you select an area to settle in? How do you like it so far? I am looking for input because I am very nervous to move from California to Florida because of all the sinkholes, alligators and hot humid summer weather... How has your experience been so far?
thanks
