When Africans Meet African-Americans

Hmmm. Lagos. Nairobi. Jo'burg! I don't think so.
The Africans who come to the USA, either as students or as immigrants, are the most educated of that continent so a comparison between them and other black groups living in the USA makes no sense.
In fact in Paris there is the totally opposite impression with the African immigrants being maligned and the African American professionals and artists thought well of.

I know more Caribbean blacks than I know AA. These groups intermingle and intermarry often here in the NYC area, especially the young intellectuals.
As far as being "lost," what I meant was the desire of many Caribbean people to straighten their hair with chemicals, wear weaves, and bleach their skin, similar to American blacks. I really only despise the skin bleaching but it all comes from the same place.
Are you saying Blacks in the Caribbean think they originated there and do not suffer some of the same symptoms of mental slavery as some American Blacks??
