[I]I am a poet or at least so I claim[/I]
[I]And my age is now eighty-three[/I]
[I]But so far I have no claim to fame[/I]
[I]For little's been published by me.[/I]
[I]If there are any others out there[/I]
[I]For which the rhymes an obsession[/I]
[I]If nothing else we just might share[/I]
[I]And thus escape from depression.[/I]
[I]The fact that my words are read[/I]
[I]Is enough to give my heart a lift[/I]
[I]And to find if like friends have said[/I]
[I]Do you think that I have a gift?[/I]
