Florida unfriendly to people wanting to move there?

I lived there.

Saw your post from December; did u make it down here? Renting in wellington Fl (east coast), rent is 2100. Trying to zero in on which coast to settle. Have 2 kids under 10. Fromy Suffolk NY. Most people seemed to have lived somewhere else. We like it. West coast florida seems cheaper with good schools too. Palm Beach County has less sink holes and is more expensive hands down.
