My 5 year old daughter mauled and attack by a akita!

Posted 07-21-2009 at 09:22 PM by mother738

We can't do anything, just drop it, do not file charges, is what we heard from our law enforcement, two days after my daughter was attacked by an akita dog.
My daughter got 134 stitches and is scared for the rest of her life, all because she wanted to give a dog a hug and kiss!
This akita has a history, but owner is relayed to city council man who is friends with mayor!
My concern is that this akita dog may kill the next child he gets a hold of.
I think I need a lawer!

    I am fine

Hello, I know that this had been years ago that this was put onto this site but I just had been looking through some files and I was actually 4 years old, plus I was a pretty dumb kid, not even in school yet, so I had no idea what I was doing. I had done many things like that as a 4 year old so this was the first time to be bit. And I had came back to this website, completely forgot my other accounts password,And was not pleased with what you had said in this comment. So if you would be so kind as to respond to this, I'd thank you for that. I f you are able to, remove this comment please

I have owned 3 St Bernards and they don't like it whenever anyone grabs their head or gets in their face. Because one of my St Bernards looked like the dog that played Beethoven in the movies, I had a lot of problems with children who wanted to hug her. When I was in public places, I always had a muzzle leash on her and warned people that she was not Beethoven and was not friendly. By the way, in 35 years, none of my St Bernards ever bit or otherwise hurt anyone. One day when I was traveling with her, I had her secured to my car on a lease while I was loading the car. A housekeeper came over and said she is so beautiful. I told her she was not friendly, and she said nonsense and stuck her face in my dogs face. My dog who was tied up and helpless, barked right in her face and she thought she had been bitten, but had not. She got very angry at me. I told her, I warned you and you decided to ignore me. You should be thankful that she did not bite you. What do you want me to do?
If you were there when this happened, I suspect that you are responsible for this because you did not teach your child that all dogs are not their friend . You need to explain this to her so she will understand that there is a price to pay in life for your actions The important thing is to relieve her of her fear. When she realizes that the dog was afraid of her, she will eventually understand that it was just defending itself.
