Doggie Adoption Story

Posted 01-02-2016 at 11:32 AM by KatyMann

I adopted a Boston Terrier from a rescue in Houston. I had recently lost my 11 year old Boston due to a brain tumor and had recently relocated to the area. I really love this breed, but had experience in raising only the one.

My new Boston is so very different from my original one. Their personalities differ in every imaginable way.

"Stetson" was a very gentle soul and was always eager to please. We communicated through his eyes, and he rarely "spoke." His passion was playing ball.

"Guinness," aka "Pig" is so full of originality and even has his own language. He's very pushy and often tries to demand his way. He's very vocal. I like his personality, though. He's a good dog, full of energy.

I bought Stetson from a breeder, and Guinness was adopted. I love the thought of giving a home to someone/thing who needs it. I'm glad I had the puppy experience with Stetson, but equally glad I didn't have to potty train Guinness.

Please consider adoption. If you have any questions about the process, I'd be glad to answer any questions.

Thanks for reading.
