Exploring Parks in Georgia

Posted 01-02-2016 at 05:57 PM by DeeAnnaNugent

Just got back from a great day in the chilly outdoors. I'm making an effort, this new year, to spend more time outside enjoying God's beautiful creations. We went hiking in Cochran Mill Park. Its located in S. Fulton county near Palmetto. With the recent massive amounts of rain the waterfalls (yes multiple!) were magnificent. You really felt out of the city with no real noise around you except for the sound of rushing water and leaves crunching under your feet. I'm new to this hiking sport but I have to say it wasn't a hard hike and would welcome doing it again.

I can't say that I'll get ALL of the parks in Georgia "hiked" this year but I'm really hoping this intention has staying power because I would love to try! If anyone has any suggestions or tips you would like to share I'm open to them.
