relocating to hilton head

We are relocating to hilton head from long island ny and would love some info. Is it family friendly? We have a 2 year old and are concerned that it may be more of a resort or retirement area than for families. Also,where do most people work who live in hilton head. My husband works in computer tech and we are concerned about the job situation. We love it there and even found a community to live in The preserve at indigo run. Has anyone heard of it? any comments?

    You need to check out Carolina Isles, a gated community on the North end of the Island, best prices in town for new construction.
