In the dark.

Last night as we lay there in the darkness we faced one another, his arms wrapped around me pulling me completely close. I asked him if he knew long ago that I would love him the way I do.
He said, "Of course I did..." I asked him why and he told me that I have loved him the same, from the very beginning.
He knew that I would give to him all that I had, holding back nothing. That made me happy.
He could see and feel the depth of my love for him from long ago but he is wrong in one place. I love him more and more every day.
Isn't that how love is?
