Why God cannot exist!

[quote=carneadesthatesstratoofga;23343196]When as physicist-atheologian Victor Stenger mountains of evidence should exist and none does, then evidence of absense is indeed absence of evidence, and no argment from ignorance.![OK](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/oglvvd.gif)
None comes forth for God, just not taking Nature seriously causes people to believe in that square circle who adds nothing as an explanation than demons and gremlins. No, just because those suppose items are in the Cosmos and He is supposedly outside it, no category mistake ensues, but the point that He adds nothing to causes and explanations holds.![Smack](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/smack.gif)
Creationists have a god of the scientific gaps: they ignorantly find that He is why the Cosmos and we exist. More advanced theists claim that no, He works through scientific explanations but they have the god of the explanatory gap: they cannot fathom that natural causes suffice and by adding Him behind them is still God did it!
Lamberth's reduced animism arument notes that theism is just reduced animism behind one spirit instead of the many of animism or polytheism, but still superstitious!![Frown](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Full animists find spirits behind natural forces.
We know that evolution works,so why have God working behind the scenes to make it work when science finds that that isn't so? To add God then is the same as saying the wind spirit causes tiles to fall off houses when people know the winds do it of their own,but the Azande do that just as theistic evolutionists know that natural selection and other forces of evolution work, but that animist understanding comes forth for them as His directing at some point in evolution for us to evolve.
How does He do it? To be compatible with science, God would have to use some means other than of let there be light! But His mysterous ways would mean that no one could ever find that supposed compatibilty holds! Just a guess!
And that supposed compatability cannot come forth anyway!
Why do you believe or not believe in God? Do you need to believe?
If you disbelieve, what would you say to those who mistakenly say that we just don't want to follow His commandments, because we want to be sinful.

Until supernaturalists can give evidence that He indeed does operate through natural causes or otherwise reveal how He operates other than by the magic of let it be, their case utterly fails. That and the atelic illuminate why they have that worthless case.

Aquinas' superfluity argument argues that God adds nothing to matters. Percy Bysshe Shelley states:" To suppose that some existence beyond, or above them [ the descriptions-laws- of Nature,C.] is to invent a second and superfluous hypothesis to account for what already is accounted for." And to claim then why, that's a category mistake begs the question.
