So I have lived in various places.

Honeybrook, PA

St. Micheal's MD

Madison, WI

Boulder, CO

All over MI

Even spent 4 months riding a bicycle across the United Stated from Williamsburg VA to Portland OR in 1982--TAE512 if any of you were there.

Now, just as I thought to be settled with my house and wife and dogs in the backyard gardening and hot tubbing--I get laid off from an organization that has been doing really well for 60 years.

No prospects for a job here--near 50 in age--

Looking to move and just as I did when I was 20 something, that a few possessions and head out---??

Obviously it is going to be WARM where ever we go.

Right now looking at New Mexico just because of its beauty and cultural history.

But it is the week end and we have some living yet to do here in Detroit and choices to make in the next 3-4 weeks.

How quickly life turns..HUH?

How quickly indeed zman, how quickly indeed.
After reading your post about full-time living in an RV, and seeing that you call Brighton (among other places) home, I decided to have a look at your blogs.
I find an almost eerie comfort and sense of kindred spirit when I read your blog. The comfort comes from knowing that I'm not alone. Perhaps it is because you have lived where I live, work where I work, play where I play, and had it taken from you. My wife and I left Fenton in 2005, ultimately due to the lack of being able to find work after being laid off. We left our modest but dream home on Lake Ponemah in Fenton, and now find ourselves living in a 32' travel trailer in Kentucky. To have had a forward-looking glimpse of my life today, back then, would probably be more than I could have bared to see.
I just wish you and your wife all the best of life and happiness and safety in your travels. - Bill
