I am an illegal

Hello everyone, I am an illegal immigrant. I was born in Mexico and at the age of 2, I moved to America alongside my parents to live the "American Dream". Ever since kindergarden, I have been at the top of my class earning respect from my teachers as wells as classmates.Continuing this path I find myself currently enrolled in a magnet highschool that offers higher education.(medical program). I take all honors classes, including some AP and partake in extracurricular activities such as varsity swimming, and volleyball, more about me is that I aspire to be an oral/maxillofacial surgeon. I know how many people view illegals(negatively) and I usually find that what they have to say is quite sterotypical. However some illegals do deserve to home, but what about those like me? Those that were never given a chance, is it really my fault that I am an illegal and cannot go to or even apply for college? I do not however want pity, just for everyone to know that Not ALL illegals are here to take advantage of welfare and participate in crime. My parents have been paying their taxes ever since they came here. They are respectable people that have earned their place in society, so why not give it to them?

My father has worked extremly long and hard to become a citizen and was given the right to stay here, but not become a citizen so he is caught in a dilema. For he can work legally, but can not partake in other liberties most Americans have. All I wish for everyone to know is that,

I love America and some day, just maybe it will love me.

Welllllll, now. You can change all that.

Obviously, if you are taking and doing good at upper level classes, the citizenship exam should be a piece of cake.

There are multitudes of organizations out here that give scholarships to immigrants, not to mention teh opportunity to work part time to fund school.

    Seek, and ye shall find.
