Retirement and Reno = R & R

Posted 10-17-2011 at 05:13 PM by tanmctee

I have talked to so many over the past year who are looking for a great place to retire!

A place where they can enjoy the arts, recreation, access to many areas and the beauty the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range has to offer.

If you are busy considering where to get the best bang for your buck..might I recommend Northern Nevada!

While the job situation is tough for those looking to relocate --- not all, but some --- the retirement sector is strong.

If your retirment does not require an income (although, there are some good part-time jobs for retirees) and what you are looking for is a great, affordable location: Nevada has no state tax and in comparison to what the property taxes are you still save money. The cost of living is fantastic and the fact you do not pay taxes on non-prepared grocery itesm is a nice benefit.

You can expect to enjoy a wonderful four season area with recreation, activities galore and access to an international airport, driving distance to areas such as Sacramento, San Francisco and Wine Country, great camping, boating, outdoor beauty.....and so much more.

Do not delay, begin your search...the Wall Street Journal printed an article about the value of buying a home now....if you are in a position to make a move....GO FOR IT...we wait for you in Reno-Sparks-Tahoe and all of Northern Nevada : )

    tanmctee,

Good post and nice to know Reno and the High Sierra are waiting for retirement type buyers.

I am on the San Francisco peninsula in Redwood City. Maybe I can send some buyers up your way?
