My darling Yeungling, come to Dallas!!

In January, while visiting my in-laws in the Philadelphia 'burbs, I fell in love with a beer. This brew they call Yeungling. Fun to say, cheap to drink, great to taste.
I'm still relatively new to beer, and though my palate is evolved enough to not enjoy both types of Dallas' ever popular beers, Bud and Bud Light, I am woefully under qualified to find all the proper descriptives for Yeungling's favor, body, head--all that jazz only beer aficionados know about. But I immediately gave it *my* official rating: 2 Yummy Thumb's up!! With a bonus of: Bring On The Beer Mustache.
(No hate mail from Bud fans, please. If Bud is there, I'll drink it. So don't you fret. It's just I don't understand why it's sooo popular when there's dozens of other affordable, tastier, more potent options!)
My husband is something of a beer snob and as a native Pennsylvanian he's been around Yeungling all his life so he did not necessarily share my level of passion. He's on this whole IPA kick so couldn't dig why I was super giddy over their lager.
In bars up there you--at least the ones I was in--you just sit down, say the word "lager" and a Yeungling magically appears. I thought that was so, well, neat. No bartender asking which lager you meant, just plopping a Yeungling down and it's done with. It never crossed my mind that I couldn't go back to Dallas and start enjoying this beer in the comfort of my own home.
Alas, I arrive back home and find there are no distributors for my state. Apparently they only sell the stuff in a dozen or so states, all way east of here. Waaaah!! I only learn this after a mini meltdown by the beer cooler at Central Market. The soccer mom near me perusing the Australian reds looked equally shaken. I've tried plenty of lagers before. And plenty after discovering Yeungling. Yeah, there's some tasty ones. But nothing quite does the trick for me. And the fact that it can't be found here just makes the lure of it grow and grow.
Unless I'm not savvy to some secret underground beer connection, Georgia is the closet location to buy the brew. And much as I love a roadtrip, my liver and my basic common sense tells me this would be a rather extreme course of action. I'm off to Philly again in the Fall... and though tempted to haul back as many cases of the stuff as possible, this too is not prudent nor practical for airline travel.
Sucks. Just sucks the big green you-know-what.

Have you checked online if it could be ordered that way?

Yeungling is a great beer. I had never had the delicious goodness until I moved to Tallahassee Florida about two years ago. Tis a great beer!

Glad it made it to Tennessee in 2009 so I can consume it easily. I got hooked on it in NC and moved here to find it unavailable.

No one posted that it is the oldest brewery still functioning in the USA. I think it started around 1809. I am from NY and became a user after doing two weeks at Pitt Air Reserve Base. They had great chicken wing places around there and Yuengling went great with the wings. It is now one of my favs!

From allentown Pa! Yeungling is the beer! Especially ice cold...near freezing! Pottsville is about an hour from here and the brewery tour is as great as their beer!
