What makes a Home

Posted 06-10-2011 at 07:23 PM by spiritwomyn

My daughter and I live in a tent. It was not what I dreamed of for my life nor the kind of house I have always wanted, but it is ours. We own it and the rent is affordable. I tell my daughter it does not matter in which dwelling you reside nor what you wear, that makes you who you are. You are yourself always. Yes we get the usual responses, but we are happy. Owning your own home is a very powerful thing in that it lets you free of others control over you, to focus on what is important. So many want to tell us what we should do, but not a single one of them would actually help us do it. This lifestyle has both ups and downs, as does any. I am thinking it is the best of all choices as it allows for the flexibility of relocating should we need to. I have even designed a year round tent and accessories to make it possible. Now I just need the money to pull it off. LOL
