The Never Ending Curiosity of Why Men Cheat

My story is long, and quite honestly, a bit overwhelming, so I'll attempt to get down to the "stuff" of the whole "men" thing. Disclaimer: I love men, don't get me wrong, but lately I've been presented with a reality in the way the majority of men think, it's quite difficult to comprehend. You see, EVERY male fights a daily battle with his flesh. We take this to mean we're not good enough, pretty enough, young enough, etc.... Right? The fact is, what's the ray of light, the truth is this; If I can see past his weakness in flesh, and focus on my strength in self-worth, the issue becomes HIS, not MINE. Now, I am NOT saying I'm going to resolve myself to the fact that this is just the way it is, and allow my husband to destroy our foundation of trust...no,no. I am, however going to give it my all to try and convey to him the importance of respect, not only for me, but for himself. Allow me to clarify: My husband and I were both married when we met. We fell instantly in love because of the symptoms in our marriages were the same. We've learned that was NOT love, that was gratification. If you're open minded enough, I implore you to read the book, A Love Worth Giving by Max Lucado. Don't worry, he's not a "bible beater". The importance of a relationship lies in the importance of stretching and growing together through pain to reach a higher level of understanding what love means. It's worth it...I promise!!!!!!! (Watch, tomorrow I'll probably say to myself, "What an IDIOT, I HATE HIM!" Then again....There's always hope!
Keep it real, people....and thanks for listening to my rant.
