All the negativity!

Posted 07-21-2008 at 05:26 PM by massagemamma

You know I grow a little weary of all those Negative Nellies telling people not to move to Vegas and that there are NO JOBS out there. Wasn't this country founded on the idea of going somewhere not knowing what was going to happen? I for one look forward to the excitement of not knowing and the thrill of starting over again. Ok, for people with kids and entire intact families a move like that would be the dumbest thing one might do, but for singles and couples that have enough cash saved up to live a few months while looking for work I say GO FOR IT! We are and we can't wait! So what if I have to work at McDonalds or Jack in the Box, I can handle it until I can pay for my Massage license. Massage Envy is still posting Massage Therapist positions all over the valley, poor me I will only make $15/hr and only while I'm doing massage a year of that part time is just enough experience to get into a better spa on the strip and hopefully by that time the economy will be a little better. I know this move won't be easy, but I have a solid plan, full time job for crap money and part time doing massage gaining experience. The hubs has 9years experience with a Budweiser distributor 2 of which have been in a supervisory capacity, I'm pretty sure he will find something within a few weeks. It's all in the attitude! I know I can therefore I WILL!

Where are you moving to? I would love to move to East Tennessee from Wisconsin since I'm only 19 but I need to get some schooling under my belt. I wish it was easier.

Positive thoguht DOES help. It helped find me a 'no-see' apt. I got an apt in Wisconsin while I'm in Texas. I'll sign the lease when I get there, which will be this Saturday.

well, moving to LV is a real gamble right now. I lived there for 16 years and LV is hurting right now. Jobs are
very tight and in that town you have to know someone to get a job that pays good.
    Good Luck
