Seattle Liberals Relocating to Wichita

Lived in Seattle my whole life. Husband is relocating – myself to follow. Looking for a little piece of Seattle in Wichita...Meaning - Safe, educated, upper-middle class, fun/trendy, With-in driving distance to Airbus and airport (I am reading everywhere in Wichita is within a 30 minute drive?). My husband is Indian (east - not native) and I am white - so I would like to live in an area accepting to that - possibly with other Indians. We are in our early 30s without children and are looking to rent (for now) in a safe area, possible refurbished loft? Close to stores, restaurants, culture etc. If not a safe, funky loft in the heart of the city then a young/hip/safe suburb. I have been reading other blogs/links and am still confused. Everything is foreign to me, so the more specific you can be, the better. Thanks for your help.
