Gustav: Day 3

Day three and we're running out of chocolate...
Gustav is pretty much over for us, and has worked out really well in the end. Last min. they reduced the number of personnel in the Sheriff's Dept. and on the third and last cut they sent Hubby out to the staging area. Once I knew he was out nothing else mattered.![Big Grin](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
We've been without power and water for only about 30 hours instead of days. Not that we didn't have water, it's just there was essentially no running water for toilets, etc. There were a couple of large limbs down and the top of a skinny tree hit the wall of her place. Hubby still has yet to check on all of the family's houses in the parish, but feels like all will be okay. Pretty much the only damage is what SIL did to her own van and what the robber stole out of her hubby's truck. Not too bad when you think about what could have happened.
I'm just hoping and praying for those west of us and in danger with those rivers. Prayers go out to those worried about family who are here, (that is really difficult too). Sigh, it's hard to feel relief and yet feel so badly for those who are damaged.
