Though I Walk Through the Valley

I am just flat out of touch, but it was the plan and so I guess I have no complaints.
Decades ago, dissatisfied with the world's circumstances (trashed environment, racial biases, collective myopia), I took the Bible's suggestion to "...no longer will I look on mankind, or be with those who now dwell in this world." Isaiah 38:11
Well, it didn't work. Oh, I separated my thoughts from the world's preoccupations, but like the nosey neighbor, I couldn't stop myself for peeping over the fence -- and being amazed (and critical) of what I was seeing.![Shocked](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/shocked.gif)
So, no wonder my life has been lonely.![Embarrassment](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/redface.gif)
I've been wrong to be critical of others, failing the adage: "You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. Luke 6:42
So, in keeping with Biblical pronouncements, I will follow the advice. "And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out." Mark 9:47
Like another (final) wisdom: "Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil."![Tape](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/tape.gif)
And for those readers that take the Bible's wisdoms literally: No, I do not plan to blind myself, only to turn my attentions to my own spiritual growth, as I should've stayed with all along.
God bless me, for I have sinned.

Your gut will tell you what is right from what is wrong. You just have to listen and not deny it because it is inconvenient or may cause complications in your own life.
This stripping of your pretenses may cause a lot of pain in your current life. If you are brave enough you can win, but if not it will cost your dearly.Posted 07-26-2009 at 02:48 PM by yukiko11 -
There are so many people in the world,no wonder you will see different kinds of sin.
Someone disappoints us really, but we have nothing to do.
