I didn't know I had the hole in my soul, until a kind message from a well-intentioned friend pointed it out for me. God bless her for her courage, knowing such information is not always well received!
When I looked, I realized I'd always known it was there, but never acknowledged it. It hurt all the worse, for the knowing. Then, as if in a miracle, suddenly overnight it was healed. Like finding a toothache gone, I felt around and found the hole filled.
Acknowledging our hurts sometimes is all it takes for our inner spirit to say, "Yes, now that you know and accept, we can heal."
Praise God.
Another comment on my blog brought me to meet (online), another friend. What a gift the City-Data forum and blogs have been, to allow me to learn how many truly good people there are in the world.
If we can all reach out to one another in our happiness and pain, perhaps the next time our politicians and war-mongers try to wage war, we will rise and say "No, we are not enemies to those people, they are our friends, if you cannot solve your problems, try a more diplomatic approach. No war."
