My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego | List of Best Posts
This blog is where I express myself to the world or at least to those who might stop by to read what I post . Maybe God will use what I post (I am a Christian and this blog will have a most decidedly Christian bent to it) to good effect in the lives of my readers.

I may turn some of my posts into a book. I may cease blogging here altogether. Who knows. But for now..I am content to post away in this, my own little corner of the world.

Rather than reading through my now lengthy list of posts you may wish to read what I consider to be my very best posts or you can just read the posts that deal with a single subject category that might interest you.

Please know that I am open to any input on any topic I write about. If you have something to say about anything you see written here please....feel free to speak up in the form of leaving a comment or sending me a PM (private message).

And if you are in San Diego and wish to meet the one and only Carlos (that's me )...drop me a private message. I always enjoy meeting one of my readers!

Thanks.

Carlos

PS. If you want to follow my blog such that you will get an email when I write new posts you can subscribe to my blog.

The health care bill being promoted by Obama and being rammed through Congress is an absolute monster.

The Republicans have come up with a visual representation of what it will be like to traverse the various agencies and departments that will oversee it's implementation if it passes both houses of Congress.

And of course to pay for it Congress will tax American's. Oh..never mind it's just some rich Americans that will be taxed. No skin of my back...right?

I mean why shouldn't we tax those who make more money than us to pay for what the rest of us can't afford?

That makes sense doesn't it? I mean doesn't it?

I wonder if I can get Congress to tax some additional millionaires on my behalf so that I can get me a better computer...hmm...

A car would be nice too I think.

Now that I am in California I will have to write my Congress person and see if I can petition them to do that for me.

Isn't that the way things operate down here?

What's another 5% tax on the rich anyway.

Carlos

PS. In case anyone misunderstands the intent of my post...I am being fascitious. I do NOT think taxing the rich to pay for what I can't afford is good for both them and the country as a whole! It's nothing less than an officially sanctioned, Robin Hood style, sacking of the rich to distribute their goods to the poor (while increasing the size and wealth of the government in the process of course). Thuggary of a worst kind in that this robbery and re-distibution of wealth is done under the color of law and forced upon those who have worked and slaved and made their money through the sweat of their brow!

If I was a millionaire I would be making plans to be out of here...like yesterday! It's going to get worse. And I would take my factories and jobs and personnel with me! Just what we need. More reason for the most productive and job producing members of our society to go live elsewhere and say goodbye to the good ol' USA for good .

UPDATE

Here's more. The tax bite for New York's highest earners will reach 57% if the health bill passes! That's 57 cents of every single dollar that will go the government folks! Anybody mind working for free for the government a bit more than half the year?

Here's a notable quote..."The legislation is especially onerous for business owners, in part because it penalizes employers with a payroll bigger than $400,000 some 8 percent of wages if they don't offer health care. But the cost of the buy-in to the program may be so prohibitive that it will dissuade owners from growing their businesses -- a scary prospect in the midst of a recession."

Nasty, nasty, nasty. Real nasty. Sounds like a good number of small business owners may start looking around for an alternate place to live. Say goodbye to even more jobs!
