Mostly RV stories from the road, starting in June.
But first, you'll see how difficult it is just trying to get ready and actually leave home for a few months!

Taos: departure

I'm leaving Taos today after a lovely, almost 1 month stay. Charles and Melissa were great, although I did get the sense it was time to go. Taos has been ok, a bit congested for my taste. One small main road that goes through the center of town, where the Plaza and all the businesses are. I dread thinking of driving out of here. There's a powwow this weekend, as well as a motorcycle rally, and a 3 day concert! None of which I'll participate in due to my claustrophobia.
I wouldn't even be writing this if my cats would have come into the RV when I was ready to go. Now, I'm sitting at a coffee shop, waiting for them to decide to come in, which I'm afraid will be late afternoon.
I'm headed to Chama, NM, on the border of CO at 8000 ft or so, where there are 2 state parks. Lake Heron is a little more congested, in terms of ppl and spaces, but I think I need to be around ppl, so will choose that campground. The lake is big, and ppl windsurf and sail. The town of Chama is a quaint little railroad town, with the steam engines taking tourists up into Colorado.
After Chama, I'm thinking about Durango, CO, for a bit, only a couple of hours from Chama. Possibly Utah, since I'm in the 4corners area.
Taos has been hot, in the 90s. I should be used to it, but I'm not. Humidity, I think. It should be a little cooler in Chama.

Hey Anomoly. I enjoy your posts about your travels. Do you just let your cats run free in your camping spots? They don't get freaked out by new places and run all the time? I'm trying to figure out how one travels with cats.
