This blog is written from my personal experiences on why and how I successfully left the gay life. Because I knew my relationship with Christ and my sexual desires for the same sex couldn't mix, I had to make a choice.

I made that tough choice more than 20 years ago and in my heart I know it was the right choice. If someone truly wants out, it IS possible. There are many naysayers out there who will bog you down with their opinions. My belief is, if you want it bad enough you CAN change. It IS possible.

Sexual Identity + Religion =?

I believe it’s important that I share my purpose for creating and maintaining this blog. My purpose is to speak about homosexuality and the church. So much exists in our media today about how it's okay to be gay, and that it's okay to be gay and a Christian. I for one do not agree with that stance and want to reach out to people who are hurting and wondering who they are. There are many men sitting in the church pews who deal with these feelings. I was one of them and I had no one to turn to; no one to talk to; no one to trust with this information. Having same-sex thoughts and feelings is taboo in the church. You’re not understood by others, especially men. And if you tell the pastor, there is the chance you could be booted out of the church for these vile thoughts.

I believe there are men who believe as I do, that God did not create us to be in an intimate sexual relationship with the same sex. These are the men I hope to reach. If someone doesn’t agree with these statements, he or she should not be compelled to think I’m speaking directly to them. I am simply here to listen as one who has been there.

"Sure, some days are tough, but I will say that with God all things are possible."

Do I deal with these issues now? Well, let's say I take up my cross daily and choose to walk for Christ. My faith is much more important than my desires. I’ve had people tell me I must be living a sad and unsatisfying life. Quite the contrary, I’m living a full and awesome life. Sure, some days are tough, but I will say that with God all things are possible. And, I have a phenomenal wife who knew about this part of my life before we married. We have two beautiful children I love more than life itself. Being a husband and dad has enriched my life like nothing I can explain.

Lastly, I am taking excerpts from my life, to show the reality of what I've gone through and connect with people who are, or have gone through the same thing. I’ve been there. If you or anyone you know wants to talk, share, or ask questions, I’m here.
