Yes! My wish did come true, March 2009 was a wet month overall with warmer than usual temeratures. Starting the month was mainly cool and sunny days, but this pattern changed to cloudy after the first five days. After our first few cloudy days, a cold front came into the area dumping a storm total rainfall amount of 2.16 inches within three days! Very refreshing wouldn't you say? However, these days were very cold for March. The 12th and 13th did not make it out of the 40s and the 14th was only a high of 55! This was the second half of my spring break so I was a little pissed but hey, I am blessed with my nicer looking lawn!
The 16th and 17th brought sunny days and much warmer temps, but the conditions turned cloudier again and yet more rain fell on the 26th and 27th followed by clear days on the 28th and 29th then changing back to cloudier the last two days bringing a final March thunderstorm the morning of the 31st.
So March 2009 ended with 2.51 inches of rain, well above the average, and 3.0 degrees above the monthly avg. temperature. Hopefully April 2009 brings more exciting severe weather!
