4 days left to suffer in Texas heat

Blah. it's no fun to pack...but packing in very hot weather is worse. I hate the weather reports that give you averages. They post it's 96 degrees but signs at schools and banks show for Lewisville it's over 100. This summer heat is one reason that I am moving. For the past few years I've suffered migraines and bronchio-spasms (causing asthma-like symtoms) triggered by the heat.

Today was tiring at the 2nd job, at the hospital. It was non-stop typing to keep up with people. I had to ask the men to not to come by to pick up the furniture and do it tomorrow. I hadn't got a chance to clear everything off. I won't get alot for it, but enough to help ship my books... egads I have more than I thought!

Selling the furniture is better than shipping it. I'm no fat cat that can hire a mover to drive cross-country. It will be cheaper to sell the big stuff and ship the boxes while I ride Greyhound.

That's right, I'm taking a bus from Lewisville, Tx to Madison, WI. That's 25 hrs on the bus.

Prey for me ... I mean pray. lol if I get a bothersome perosn beside me,they may be prey...to eyerolls and sighs. Okay I'll be nice and not make lame jokes!

I got some more boxes. and packed some breakable vases by wraping them up in clothes that are to be shipped. A winter coat pads the bottom and a thick pillow on top.

The thing that's bothering me the worse about moving is having to give up my 8 year old cats. There are two of them, brothers from the same litter. They've never been separated from each other ... except twice one got outside and as gone for 3 days. The other was moping around the entire time.
I hate that I can't bring them with me. But there's no way for me to afford moving them. I am still trying to find a home for them. The local no-kill shelter, Operation Kindness, is full. And I keep missing the local SPCA.

So much more packing and seeing what I don't want. Well, I still got four more days.
