Our Hell Goes On near Kooskia, Id

If you choose to live in Idaho County, Idaho be prepared for ANYTHING. Unless you have a lot of money, are friends or relatives of someone important in the County, or run a business........your property rights will not be protected. I guarantee that if one of the commissioners or someone important lived in our home the County Commissioners would have protected THEIR rights. Not so for us...we are just a retired blue collar couple wanting to be able to have a garden, sit and relax on our deck and porch, sleep during hours we choose. All of which has been taken away from us in favor of a "land owner" who doesn't reside on that land. There was a gravel pit there but hadn't had a rock crusher on it since the mid 90's when they built the road. At that time there was no subdivision and no homes that the noise and dust would bother. Other than that the pit has only been used a few times to get base rock using heavy equipment such as a front loader dumping the rock into trucks to haul off. All that was done in the daytime and didn't adversely affect our entire beings. We cannot sleep until after midnight and are being woke up by 5 am. We cannot utilize our property due to extreme noise and dust.
