Teardrops

Teardrops
Place my sandals
at the threshold,
I won't be needing
them anymore.
Powerless against
the waves of love
convulsing my body,
I pour into you
like wine from the neck
of a bottle.
Discarding the container
which held me prisoner
I drop it to the floor,
amused, as it shatters
into fine sand.
The salted teardrops
of my ecstasy ripple
the ocean of love,
gently lapping the shore
of every land.
