Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.

What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.

Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)

"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)

"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Becoming Fruitful

Posted 01-18-2024 at 10:14 PM by Albert Finch

John 15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

The Lord Jesus gives us this divine union by the Spirit so that we can bear fruit that remains for His Kingdom. All the vine has is made available to the branches -- to give us what we need to be fruitful. The perpetual flow of the Holy Spirit provides for us on a constant, daily basis.

As we grow, through revelation, in our understanding of God’s purpose for our life, living in our Christ identity as God’s sons and daughters and our true riches in His glory, we will live out of that supply.

When we don’t know what we already have, we are limited, but when revelation comes (through affirming and meditating on His Word that has to do with understanding who we are in Christ) we become aware of the boldness in Christ that we already possess (see 1 Corinthians 2:12), which will be manifested in the lives we will be changing.

LIVING BY HIS STRENGTH AND SUPPLY

Through the prophet Jeremiah, God said, “Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish” (Jeremiah 33:3 AMPC). Praise the Lord Jesus that through Him all things are possible to those who believe. It is no longer we who live, but He who lives through us. By His strength and supply, we are ready for all He has called us to do to advance His Kingdom through ministering to others in their spiritual development. -- “I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am [self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]” (Philippians 4:13 AMP).

WALKING IN TOTAL CONFIDENCE

When you know how much you have in the bank, you can shop with confidence. When we (and the Church as a whole) awaken to the fullness of supply (2 Peter 1:3), a tremendous holy boldness will be released. We will walk in a deep trust and confidence not in our ability, but in His ability and supply. When we understand what Christ living through us means to us, and as we grow in the full stature of Christ in us, we are going to be fearless in living and ministering out of the ceasless flow of the Holy Spirit in our God given authority and dominion. (Acts 4:31)
