Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.
What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.
Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)
"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)
"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)
"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)
"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Instruments For Noble Purposes
Posted 12-08-2023 at 11:43 PM by Albert Finch
No one wants to make another trip through the wilderness. This is not a time to walk in circles. We are to walk with a true goal, aim, and purpose, making the most of each occasion, because we know the time is short (see Ephesians 5:14-17). Paul, the apostle, instructs us to walk purposefully toward one true goal -- God's PURPOSE for our life (see Philippians 3:12-16).
Unless we enter into our eternal identities (our DESTINY), we will not become instruments for noble purposes. We will not be useful to God.
"We are workers together with God." - 2 Corinthians 6:1
PICKING UP YOUR CROSS AND FOLLOWING HIM
Jesus says to “Ask, seek, and knock, (Matthew 7:7)” until you come to find God’s purpose for your life. As you come to understand your Christ calling you start to develop vision. You start to see yourself bearing fruit that remains for God’s Kingdom. This becomes the most important thing in your life as it displaces other goals and agendas you have developed for yourself in the past.
You begin to instinctively reject everything else for Christ and advancing His Kingdom.
WE ARE IN CHRIST
God does not see us in ourselves - He sees us in Christ. He does not see us, He sees Christ in us. If we really believed that, we would be delivered from ourselves and would indeed be triumphant Christians.
All life is growth. This is especially true of the spiritual life. It continually grows. As your passion go help others with their spiritual lives in Christ advances God’s Kingdom.
Can you feel the depth of God’s heart calling to you in this season? Can you feel the depth of your spirit desiring Him more than your next breath? Launch out, and launch into Him. It is in this place that your wilderness becomes a fruitful field.
