It's been two weeks or more of the painters trapsing in and out now.
A coat of "mud" then two days drying.
Another coat of "mud" Then two days letting it dry.
First sanding, then another day goes by.
Next day touch up spots.
Another two days sanding and clean up.
Skip a day.
First coat of primer.
A day for primer to dry.
Second coat of primer went on today.
Another day of drying primer.
At least everything looks good so far. They want to apply two coats of color, probably with at least a day or two for each coat to dry.
I had no idea this would take up so much time!
At least they're being thorough. Everything looking good. These guys are the same crew who painted the decks and that was a big two-color job with lots of intricate hand painting, which also took several weeks. The results were spectacular!
Another ongoing project is two granite lamp posts topped with lights by the main entrance. But that's for another day.
I can't complain but I just want my house back and everything finished!![Smack](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/smack.gif)

Starting a bathroom remodel was like stepping into a never ending story. From choosing the tiles to the plumbing surprises, every step was exciting and frustrating at the same time. The excitement wore off as the time flew by, but the idea of a peaceful retreat kept us motivated. Our patience was wearing thin, but the thought of a reimagined space kept us hopeful. At the end of the day, the journey might be long, but the excitement of that final reveal keeps us going.
