Do People name their PC's?

I do. Just named the new one this morning....because the old one gave out last night.
I think I started, a generation ago, when I started working for those who named their mainframe computers. Granted, it helped a lot that screen technology had advanced enough to make a good image of who the computer was named for.
I name my computers for heroines. So it has been........
Caitlin (Airwolf): 286
Lyta (Babylon V): Windows 95
Willow (Buffy): Windows ME full tower (13 bays)
Purdey (The New Avengers): Windows ME Half Tower
Selene (Underworld): First laptop
Romana (II)(Dr. Who): Second laptop
Gabrielle (Xena): 2nd hand laptop, serving as CD player during move in
Racquel (Darrian): laptop that just bought it
.......and joining the legacy this morning, making her entrance because a name was needed instead of waiting to ponder on it..........
Romi (Rommie-Andromeda): ASUS Vivobook
As things go, I do have another computer, one opted for DVD processing, but it is not on line yet and hence, unnamed. There was a tablet of last year but it never turned on, was returned, and never got a name.
Some of the computers were named more for their purpose than spur of the moment. Willow was suppose to be a massive data computer, filled with hard drives and hence, knowledgeable, hence Willow. Purdey was in the early days of the Internet and was to be the Internet computer, gathering information.....but if compromised, my electronic spy, not able to say very much. Gabrielle, a bard, something to keep me entertained.
As it is, Romi's basic purpose right now is to keep me in touch with my Minders, so it is a simple communication computer. I've had it for about a month, been busy setting it up, tried it last weekend due to comm problems (but they were with the satellite, not my computers), but this morning it was necessary for her to take the stage.
So......do people name their "PCs"?
