The Unforgivable Sin

Luke 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
This sounds pretty dire. God will never forgive you for the sin of blasphemy?
Let's dig further. When we look in Matthew we see there is more information given:

32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Matt 12:31 Because of this I say to you, all sin and evil speaking shall be forgiven to men, but the evil speaking of the Spirit shall not be forgiven to men.

The world translated as 'world' in the KJV is 'aion', which simply means an indeterminate age. Concordant Literal and Young's literal give a better translation in that regard.
It is only not forgiven (Condcordant: pardonable) in this age or the next. Beyond that it SHALL be forgiven!
