Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.
Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!
Regards,

Keeping Up With Passwords? You're Better Off Juggling Cats
Posted 04-28-2022 at 07:29 PM by case44
So many websites. So many media outlets. So many connections. Yet, there's so little time.
You and I live in a world where there are so many passwords. Wanna bet your passwords on so many different connections are all, .... well, .... different?? We all face dilemmas in this tech-savvy world, but nothing's more frustrating than keeping up with your various passwords for your sources and resources. Oh, face it, sports fans, it's hard to keep them all the same, try as we may. On some sites, we may end up forgetting a password after your login had been set to auto for the past ten years, and you had to get another computer. Admit it. Or, perhaps, you think you remembered a password on one site and a crisis forces you to change it, but the problem is, the password gets mixed up with one that's good on another site. And I don't have to tell you what it's like to have the one you like the most get used up and you can't use it again.
Change is inevitable, but change can also be difficult. Yes, we should write down all of our passwords, with all that goes with each. What I must do a better job of is having a pen and paper at my disposal, and if I ever needed to make a change with a password, Ol' Case just needs to be on his toes.
Maybe comedian Steve Martin was on to something a few moons back. He had this thing for cat juggling. Perhaps today, that's certainly easier than remembering all fifty-seven of your passwords.
