Captured in time
This certainty has allowed me
Breadth, depth and freedom to be
The autopilot
And the manual entry
That's all I see
In multiple facets of life
It is Washington's John Adams
No matter the coordinates
Or the destination
No matter the relevancy of Chenopodium quinoa
Or that of the Oryza glaberrima
The appearance is uncanny
No matter the flow from the bursting riverbanks of Advanced Technology
Or that of the shuttered rigs of exploration from the deepest Sea, and Drill
Stems the cells of discovery
Guess that's how it's supposed to be
From free ports
& dry bulk...
...minstrels, and minerals
Average down the dock now
As I compromise my principles
Searching...
Encroaching complacency
Searching...
"Woah. Now that's a woman!" I go
Instant treasuries, and memories
Awaiting their arrival
Of that Swarm of golden bees
Unexpected
On this flight
Unexpected
On any night
-At a bar
-A club
-Or on a boat
For future moments,
made for Hallmark notes?
No one knows
But mostly all I care about,
is that my toaster's heat setting provides for the perfectly-timed tenderness of the whole-wheat bread for which I desire
Not too soft
Not too crisp
And sometimes that involves the scientific method.
