Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.
Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.![Stick Out Tongue](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!
Regards,

The CDC, For Once, Actually Decided To Do The Right Thing
Our government is loaded with cheats, thieves, and hypocrites, but then, you already know that. I have been very skeptical and wary of the Centers for Disease Control, which is a legit agency supposedly working for us, but for the last few years, had actually been playing a few games with many Americans during the COVID-19 plandemic.
I was elated to learn of a decision made by that same CDC while watching local news earlier this week during my East Texas road trip. And the good news was long overdue. The CDC had decided that Americans will no longer need to wear masks for indoor or outdoor situations, as, in their view, the plandemic situation is effectively under control in most states. I could have told you that it was under control last year! After two years of flip-flopping and playing the Hokey Pokey with American lives, this entity has come to its senses. Nonetheless, the CDC has told us to ditch the masks!
Thank you, Jesus!
Now, there will still be doctor's offices and clinics where, in some places, the masks will still need to be recommended, but I can safely tell you that our lives can be as close to back to normal as one can be. Praise God.
And continue to pray for the United States of America.

They did the right thing when polling doesn't look good for democrats.
