Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.
Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.![Stick Out Tongue](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!
Regards,

Tanya Tucker And Case?? Well, It Was Pretty Close
Posted 01-22-2022 at 04:54 PM by case44
How could it be? Just how could it be that your writer would actually get a few moments and interact with an actual celebrity?
Well, to be fair, that may have been the case with The Case
on another social website. Without getting into too much detail, civilians and even famous people happen to be users on that particular website. I happen to also be on it fairly often, and I'm definitely not famous.
That site does contain some messaging, and even though I prefer to maintain a low profile there, a famous singer actually sent a lure to message me. It wasn't just any celebrity, either. It just happened to be country singer and legendary artist Tanya Tucker. Yes, that one.
Now, as with any website, you have to be careful in how to go forward with trying to stay in touch with folks, and that often includes exchanging some personal information. And even though Tanya Tucker does have her picture to denote her subscription to that particular site, that may or may not mean that it could genuinely be her, considering she's in the entertainment industry and can't possibly have too much free time on her hands. But there she and I were. This was in the last couple of days, and, assuming that person on the other end was Tanya Tucker, we had a friendly exchange back and forth, and I complimented her for the great things she has contributed to country music through the many years she had been involved in it. We're talking almost fifty years, and yet, she's only 63 now.
As much as I would have loved for both of us to exchange numbers and text one another, I was a bit leery of leaving any contact info, and she was leery of fans she met possibly giving her info away. So, our contact has had to drift away; plus, I've got things going on not much more than she does. I bet if there were even more advanced technology where both of us would meet on something like Zoom, then we might have pulled something like that off.
Can you believe that? A celebrity on a social media site actually taking time out to visit with fans, and she spent a little bit of time with Ol' Case. You know, Tanya Tucker has actually gotten better looking as she's gotten older. Then again, she's got plenty of family around that she doesn't really have to have her fans hanging around all the time. Good grief, they'd have to number upwards of tens of thousands.
To think that Tanya Tucker and Case interacted for a few minutes.
Quite the moment, it was.
Well, to be fair, that may have been the case with The Case

That's pretty incredible, Case. But Tanya has aged too much and now even has pink hair. At least you got a real celebrity tagging after you for a little bit.
Do you have any other celebrities that you wouldn't mind meeting online?Posted 02-20-2022 at 12:20 PM by malfunction
