My wife feeling guilt....About moving across country!

Posted 10-22-2021 at 07:09 PM by Autolearys

My wife and I just recently moved across country and sold our house in washington state. The only one who really hated the decision was her mother who told us we were making a huge mistake. Even though it was hard on all our family we love our new life here in South Carolina. Soon after moving here my wife recieved a phone call her mom is in the hospital in critical condition. Her last phone call with her mom was not pleasant and she feels completely guilty that she can't even fly out to see her due to covid-19 restrictions. I don't know what to say or how to comfort her since her father died 3 years ago from cancer which left her a wreck for some time. She has recently become more religious and I think it will help both of us to tap into more spiritual practices. I guess we can pray for a maricle recovery. I have some guilt too because my parents are still alive and well. My mom is too upset that I moved so far away so I'm sure I would feel just as guilty too if she was sick and in the hospital.
