Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.
Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.![Stick Out Tongue](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!
Regards,

Maybe The Third Time Is The Charm --- For A "Fixed" Garbage Disposal
Posted 08-16-2021 at 03:20 PM by case44
On three different occasions in the past month and a half, the garbage disposal in the kitchen of the Chateau Case-O
decided to become unfixed. And it's supposed to take a lot of things thrown down it when I clean the dishes. Yet, there were three times where the thing just stopped spinning, and that was when I needed to summon the maintenance crew over to get it fixed.
Well, the two previous "fixes" had to show one dubious thing: The garbage disposal stopped working. So, a few minutes before this writing, Ol' Case had the maintenance gurus back up at my place again to try to make things right. Since this is the third time in a relatively short time, you can only think of that old saying. Yes, that one.
Now, time will tell if the third time will actually be the charm for this kitchen, but if it does stay fixed and will work as intended, then life will be good again. Thank goodness no one from our disastrous federal government came over and tried to fix this....
No, folks, don't even get me started.
Oh, and the third time I needed it fixed, I hadn't even put anything down the disposal.
It just broke by itself. Bad parts?? Maybe when the guys were previously over. Then again, it's likely what I saw today was a different group of gurus, so maybe this disposal will actually be fixed and stay fixed.
All I need to keep that sink fresh is get a lemon and slice it up, but instead of doing it in sixth fractions, I may need to cut them up even further and gingerly toss them in while the blade is moving. Really, folks, it makes it smell better. You should try it.
