Getting Older

I've been noticing that the older I get the less people pay attention to me. If I'm talking to them they just walk away and start another conversation or they act like I'm not even there asking them anything. I didn't realize once we got older that we became so irrelevant. So I don't say too much anymore at work. Why bother wasting the air?
Old people don't count for anything in our society. We're just looked upon as old and in the way. But we're the ones that show up and do the job that's expected of us. We're the ones that can be counted on. With the younger generation you never know anymore.
