Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.
Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Case Gets A Surprise In His Doctor's Office Visit

It really was just a routine appointment with my personal physician. Every six months, I make my visit to see the good doctor and get the ol' checkup.
When the proceedings were over and your writer was getting himself paid up and checked out with the receptionist, a good-looking blonde nurse actually approached me about the possibility of getting the COVID vaccine shot. My doctor, just moments before that, put me on a waiting list for the vaccine, but, lo and behold, such became available and I ended up sitting on a small bench for ten minutes and waited for the first of two COVID shots. And this was with no waiting in line.
How great is that, y'all? Case gets the COVID vaccine shot when I thought it would be a few weeks or months away at, quite possibly, another venue. Thank goodness I didn't have to wait for Denton County to extend their waiting list. The Pfizer concoction actually made its way into my doctor's office. So, in three weeks, The Case will get his second and final COVID vaccine shot.
And there was nothing to it. Just a little lasting pain in the spot where the shot took place, but no side effects. As of this writing, that pain is gradually subsiding. Everything will be just fine where that's concerned. Blog readers can then take solace that their favorite blogger won't get COVID after all. Believe me, I have other things on my plate to occupy my time.
Now comes a vacation in the wings with one less thing to worry about..........for the moment.
