Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.
Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.![Stick Out Tongue](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!
Regards,

Frisco's Emerson High Just A Few Months From Opening
Posted 01-18-2021 at 06:50 PM by case44
It seems that Frisco, Texas, just can't stop building high schools. We've got number eleven coming up. It's under construction and very much taking shape right now.
Emerson High School, located in McKinney but is in the Frisco Independent School District, is going to see more than just a building capture its form. The principal is getting ready to hire the school's first faculty this next month. As for Emerson's colors, well, according to the Facebook page they have, it appears blue will be one of the colors. I have not heard about the others, but that's what they'll be going with. Students slated to head there in the fall will decide a mascot within the next month or so. Emerson will enroll just sophomores and freshmen this fall before they will get a district for sports and begin varsity in 2022.
And just when folks are getting used to Emerson, guess what? A twelfth high school will open in north Frisco in 2022.
That campus will be named by March. Yes, folks, Frisco ISD cannot stop building high schools.

According to the school's Smore page, the colors will be dark blue and light blue. The mascot is being voted on by the future students, and their reveal is next month. At that time, a head football coach and band director will be hired.
