Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

Dow Jones Finally Gets The 30,000 Plateau ---- Just Like I Said

Posted 11-28-2020 at 07:51 PM by case44

Earlier this year, I just knew that the Dow Jones Industrial Average would make its comeback from the corrections earlier this year due to the strike of COVID. Before this crazy Chinese import made its inroads, the Dow was hitting 29,000 and the immediate future was looking really bright.

I don't have to tell you what happened next. COVID strikes and the Dow fell like parachutist without a parachute. After what we call corrections, the Dow began making gains again as the economy would slowly rebound in many parts of the country. I had predicted on City-Data that the Dow would be back to 29,000 and would hit 30,000 before the end of the year. I believe I did say something to that effect, and in that aspect, I ended up being right. Then came Tuesday, November 24, and our great Dow Jones average, which had finally gotten back to 29,000 points not much earlier, actually made it this time to 30,000. What a moment!

If things regarding our election fraud scandal can turn the tide away from Joe Biden and back to Donald Trump (who actually won this election), then you will see even bigger gains with the Dow Jones. Trump has predicted that next year will be one the greatest years of economic growth seen in this country, and hopefully, that will be the case. And in that end, we can only hope bigger things sprouting out for the Dow in the coming year.

Tuesday's finish, by the way, was 30,046.24. Great day.
