According to the Chabad site (link) the Mezuzah that is practically ubiquitous these days at Jewish households (when I was growing up not so much) has the "power...to protect from harm and to prolong one’s life."
I am reporting my own post, in case it is "out of bounds" or belongs elsewhere, since I do not wish to infract.

Felt nothing. So I need a do-over. I think the environment, the fact I was alone without a friend, and the type of shrooms detracted greatly from the experience.
