Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

Perhaps Lennon's 'Give Peace A Chance' Means Nothing To Today's Left

Posted 09-07-2020 at 05:27 PM by case44

As you are able to see the destruction taking place in several of my great America's biggest cities, one would only wonder if peace could ever be achieved on our soil. Right now, our soil is getting soiled, sown by seeds of unnecessary hate and blame and prejudice. Despite efforts from conservatives and leaders to quell the politically-induced rioting, shooting, and looting, it seems like the left only has a desire to continue this madness.

Seems like we've forgotten a song from our past which carries a message to stimulate our minds and get us in the path to a mindset and attitude of peace. And while John Lennon and Yoko Ono had originally penned the following piece as an anti-war song, it might as well be aimed at the despicable destruction that the radical left has torpedoed on our cities and livelihoods, and for the stupidest of reasons. How we so need it today.

If you'd like to take a listen, then here's the YouTube below:

Pay very close attention to the lyrics. Just give peace a chance. John Lennon nailed it. Too bad that the group which passes for today's so-called liberals can't remotely try to take it to heart, but they need to. We need to open up any of our cities still in lockdown, supposedly from COVID, but really from overzealous, power-hungry governors and mayors too stubborn to open them, all for political reasons and whether a shred of regard for the lives living under such conditions.

Los Angeles, open up!

New York City, open up!

Chicago, open up!

Milwaukee, open up!

Portland, open up!

Seattle, open up!

Please stop the violence and the hate in these cities. Give peace a chance. Lock up anybody who is perpetrating and participating in the destruction. Give peace a chance. Those of you who are in power, get your heads on straight and be rational for a change! Your party will not win any kind of an election if you promote violence and anarchy, and you'll be sorry that you did. If California and New York suddenly experience the red pill (which will actually be a good thing), then that's where your sorry policies, ignorance, and attitudes will get you. Blue cities just can't stay blue. Not when they tolerate bad behavior like what we've seen (if you haven't been watching the mainstream media, and, hopefully, you haven't!). Give peace a chance.

God has the power to change lives through His Son, Jesus Christ. Through Him, these cities and burgs can give peace a chance and be transformed. It's called real change.

Make America great again! That's not just a saying; it's an attitude.
