Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.

What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.

Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)

"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)

"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Dressed In Fine Linen

Posted 07-25-2020 at 09:23 PM by Albert Finch

"The armies of Heaven were following Him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean." - Revelation 19:14

The Lord in this hour is about to send His fire upon the Church. Those that are not ready may not be prepared for this fire, but it is going to consume the darkness from their lives. They are going to be touched in the core of their beings and they will rise as Knights in White Linen. They will conquer darkness in the name of the King.
You Are a Conqueror!

You are royalty in Christ. You are undefeatable in Christ. There is nothing that can conquer you. You are more than a conqueror. You are an overcomer who will overcome every trial and difficulty that is in your life.

Hebrews 12:1 - "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."

Everyone has something that they are facing which they must endure and overcome -- the sin that keeps repeating itself "that so easily entangles."

Galatians 5:17 - "For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that you cannot do the things that you would."

When the stubborn sin begins to manifest, the divine way of victory does not permit our doing anything at all -- anything that is to say, outside of Christ. The fight with the flesh is not ours, but the Holy Spirit's ("for these are opposed to each other"), it is He, not we, who meets and deals with it. What is the result? "That you may not do the things that you would." -- what would we do naturally?

We would move off on some course of action dictated by our own instincts and apart from the will of God. The effect, therefore, of our refusal to come out of cover and act out from ourselves is that the Holy Spirit is free to do His work -- free, that is, to meet and deal with the flesh in us, so that in fact we do what we naturally would do (thereby overcoming the sin).

Galatians 5:16 - "Walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh"

If we live in the Spirit, if we walk by faith in the risen Christ, we can truly "stand aside" while the Spirit gains new victories over the flesh every day.

Affirmations:

By depending on the Holy Spirit, He sets me free from the sin that is holding me down.

By allowing the Holy Spirit to deal with my potential sin I am preparing for the new thing that God has for my life.

PRAYER:

Thank you, Holy Spirit, for giving me victory over _____________,
I am handing this over to you to give me the success I need to advance your Kingdom. In Jesus name, Amen
